Description

THIS EVENT IS GOING TO BE CONDUCTED BOTH VIA ZOOM AND IN-PERSON AT THE GLENVIEW PUBLIC LIBRARY (1930 Glenview Rd). All registrations and payments will be handled in advance via this webpage.

The job search can be a very frustrating experience, especially when you think you’re making good progress with a great job opportunity and suddenly… things go silent. You were told that the company is interested in continuing more interviews with you but you haven’t heard back in a week or two or three. No phone call… no email. Nothing.

What should you do? Are you still in the running? Did you do something wrong? Have they lost interest in you?

Herein lies the challenge of being “ghosted” by a potential employer. And statistics show that 75% of job seekers believe they have been ghosted after having had what they believe was a good interview. It’s insensitive. It’s unprofessional. It’s disappointing. And it’s happening to a lot of job seekers… even those who thought they were well on their way to getting a potential job offer.

During this webinar, NSENG Founder/CEO Marty Gilbert, will be providing you with some insight to specific actions you can take with regard to ghosting. Here are a few of the topics that he’ll be covering:

  • Why ghosting happens
  • What some job seekers are saying about ghosting
  • What you can do to lessen your chances of being ghosted
  • Actions you can take once you believe you’ve been ghosted

The presentation will be recorded and made available to all registrants. After the presentation is completed, the last 45 minutes of this meeting will be dedicated to small group networking. Those who join via Zoom can participate with other Zoom attendees via virtual breakout rooms. Those who attend in-person, will be divided up into networking groups within the presentation room. These networking sessions are a great opportunity to gain potential introductions into target companies that you otherwise might not be able to accomplish on your own.
