Whether you have 3 months or 30 years of experience, it’s a well-known fact that “networking” plays a significant role in over 75% of the jobs that are acquired. Networking is one of those activities that most job seekers don’t enjoy and, consequently, many individuals don’t make the most of their networking connections and one-on-one opportunities. Effective networking requires a combination of online research (to identify the companies and individuals) and offline human interaction techniques that engage your audience and provide them with ways in which to help you. During this presentation, I’ll share specific ways to improve your networking techniques and I’ll provide example workflows that can help turn your network into an extremely valuable asset. I’ll also show a few examples of networking scripts that can engage people that you’ve never met.

Lastly, LinkedIn HAS TAKEN AWAY SEVERAL GREAT FEATURES THAT USED TO BE AVAILABLE TO ALL JOB SEEKERS in an effort to get you to upgrade to a costly subscription. So, I’ll show you some effective workarounds that will enable you to do detailed filtered people searches without incurring LinkedIn’s incremental costs.
