Description

THIS IS A HYBRID EVENT SO ANYONE WHO CANNOT ATTEND IN-PERSON, CAN JOIN VIA A ZOOM LINK FOR THE DURATION OF THE MEETING (a link will be sent to all registrants prior to the event).

For job seekers over the age of 45, there can be ageism challenges that present obstacles to getting the interviews or job offers you think you deserve. Some firms might refer to you as being “over-qualified” while others think you won’t be challenged enough. But, regardless of what it’s called, age discrimination does happen in the hiring process, and it’s not unusual for you to be competing against individuals who may be 10 to 20 years younger than you.

There are, however, specific actions you can take to lessen your chances of becoming a victim of these harmful behaviors. During this presentation, Marty Gilbert (NSENG Founder/CEO), will share more than 20 recommendations that have worked for him and hundreds of job seekers that he’s coached. And all of his suggestions can be implemented immediately so that you can reverse a trend that may be holding you back.

Here are a few of the topics that Marty will discuss:
–  Misconceptions about older job seekers and how to overcome them
–  Advantages that an older job seeker has over a younger one
–  What you can do to improve your mindset
–  Preparation for interviews that can have a positive impact
–  How to position yourself as the “least risky” hire
–  How to turn your experience into your greatest asset

The agenda is as follows:
6:00 – 6:15   Open networking
6:15 – 7:30   Presentation and Q&A
7:30-8:30   Smal group networking (those joining virtually will network with others on the Zoom link)

All registrants will also get access to a previous recording on the presentation AND a list of all registrants so that you can quickly grow your network of LinkedIn connections.
